About Suzanne L. Cohen
Dr. Suzanne L. Cohen is a Licensed Psychologist, Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP), Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association (FAGPA) and Licensed Practitioner in The Nia Technique. Suzanne has over 30 years of experience providing individual, couples and group therapy in her private practice.
For over 20 years she was Clinical Instructor in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Faculty of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy Training Program. Suzanne has served as President and Secretary of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy and was on the Boards of American Group Psychotherapy Association and the International Registry of Certified Group Psychotherapists. Suzanne has presented over 30 workshops nationally at the Annual Meeting of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, focusing on group leadership, group dynamics, and somatic psychology.
Suzanne is co-author of the book “Lab Dynamics: Management and Leadership Skills for Scientists” with her husband Carl M. Cohen, with whom she has collaborated in developing workshops and training programs for scientists. Suzanne received her Ed.D. from Boston University and did post-graduate training as a Clinical and Research Fellow in the Dept. of Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard University.
